Inaneambiguity and I had a Kitten Adventure
So, my friend and I were walking back from the shop when we caught sight of a kitten that was standing in the middle of the road and staring obliviously at cars that were approaching it. Then a dog scared it and she darted under a taxi and climbed into the engine. I could seriously see her face through the front grill of the car.
This cat had no survival skills, and judging by how clean she was and how clueless she was, she had to be an indoor cat.
Another girl was really concerned about Death Wish Kitten, and she helped my buddy and I out as we searched for her owners. She was really sweet. :D
So, we did some digging around at the local pubs / shops, but nobody knew where she was from, so I took her home. We went back to the shops and bought some cat food and some litter (because they close at 4 on Sundays) in case she would have to sleep over, and I got a tip on where she might live.
We headed out to search around and knock on doors, leaving my buddy (inaneambiguity) to watch after the adorable little thing in my room - and seriously, the first door we knocked on, somebody answered.
“Hey, have you lost a kitten by any chance?”
“Black, white whiskers, with a little white spot on its ear?”
“Yep.”
“Yeah, she darted outside this morning and we haven’t been able to find her - do you know where she is?”
So I led this guy back to my house and handed her over (her name is apparently ‘Little Blue’, which is only slightly cuter than ‘Domino’ or ‘Death Wish Kitten’), and they went on their merry way.
I now have a cat tray and some litter and cat food, but goddamn, I feel like a good person.

Overall, this went incredibly well, and it really picked up my mood. I feel like a good person, even if I really wanted to go to sleep with a kitten on the end of my bed for a night, but ah well. <3
