I reblog random shit and I occasionally post some of my writing, when time allows.
Personal posts happen, as this is a personal blog.
I'm currently attempting to recover from an ED. It's a work in progress. I post about it sometimes, but with TWs if applicable.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF I NEED TO CHECK MY PRIVILEGE.
I'd rather know, learn and apologise than be a jackass.
hnnnnnggggg - feel free to ignore me, just ranting about the (simplified) plot of my screenplay
My dissertation is being such a bitch right now
And hell, this is never going to be made, so I might as well explain it to some degree (leaving out the explosions and the gang warfare and the murder mystery aspect, of course)
Man, I just wanted to write about lesbians in the 1920s and address the fact that time travel narratives only ever have straight men going back in time and having essentially the same social status and privilege in society and man, wouldn’t it suck if you were a PoC or a woman or gay?
Plus, time travel films always seem to give the traveler the chance to go home or, if they stay, it’s their decision to stay - wouldn’t it suck if you were trapped in another time forever and you had to completely readjust your life and the privileges you might have been taking for granted and then you have to live through shitty events that you know are coming but you have no chance of changing or stopping them?
After my film is over, Jules doesn’t get to go home - she has to live through the fucking Great Depression and WWII and the McCarthy Era and hell, that’s provided that she isn’t one of the 700+ gang war casualties that happen in the Chicago area before Prohibition is over in 1933
Oh, and the woman she loves dies
Man, I feel like such an asshole
and now I have to go write a montage. :/ As much as I love my concept, fuuuck thiiiiis.
… I just realised that for the last two days, I’ve been using ‘coming out to my family’ as procrastination from my dissertation.
what does it say about me when I pointedly put myself in the path of a bunch of religious, questionably sane people rather than doing my work
at least it’s been interesting
If anyone is curious, though, I got overwhelmingly positive responses and the people that I worried about ended up being cool with it, even though their messages insinuate that they are praying that I will ‘get better and get married to some very-fertile clean-shaven dudebro with a serious love for the big man upstairs so we can spit out fifty thousand god-fearing straight kids’ anyway.
That was 3 or 4 out of the 15 members of my family that have facebook though, so…
(I knew this gif would come in handy someday)
I think I just came out to my entire family.
So, I read this article, and then I read this one.
And I wrote this.
Definitely not going to regret that in the morning. Not. At. All.
I took a look and I’m absolutely sickened. This is disgusting and I would like it if everyone would take a moment to report this user to email@example.com.
Send this in the email:
- Malicious Bigotry. Don’t actively promote violence or extreme hatred against individuals or groups, on the basis of race, ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, or sexual orientation. While we firmly believe that the best response to hateful speech is not censorship but more speech, we will take down malicious bigotry, as defined here.
- Harm to Minors. Be thoughtful when posting anything involving a minor. Don’t post anything relating to minors that is sexually suggestive or violent. Don’t bully minors, even if you are one. Life as a teenager is hard enough without the fear, anguish, and isolation caused by online bullying.
- Impersonation, Stalking, or Harassment. Treat the community the way you’d like to be treated. Don’t attempt to circumvent the Block feature. If you want to parody or ridicule a public figure (and who doesn’t?), don’t try to trick readers into thinking you are actually that public figure.
- Privacy Violations. Don’t use Tumblr to deceptively obtain personal information. Don’t post content that violates anyone’s privacy, including personally identifying or confidential information like credit card numbers, social security numbers, unlisted contact information, or private photos of your ex’s junk (no matter how attractive).
I’m taking alllll the work out of it. Please help each other out and report this vile human.
I’ve sent my email. Signal boost, guys. Please, just take some time and e-mail Tumblr about taking this person down - they have posted addresses, full names and links to their tumblrs with the intent of shaming and outing these people. If you don’t want to click the link, it basically says that they have thousands of addresses and names that they intend to send to anti-LGBT+ groups in the US, Canada, the UK, New Zealand and Australia so they can harass them.
“All these LGBTQ people will be contacted by these (Christian) anti-LGBTQ organisations, sooner or later.
I was just doing my duty and being honest.
I only regret that I will probably never find out what happened to all these LGBTQ people.” - sophie-von-bayern
Please, just pass this on - it is really important, and incredibly disgusting. I don’t know how we can stop her from sending out that information to the anti-LGBT+ groups, but it is worth trying to pull her off of tumblr before any other miserable human beings utilise her sources and harass the people that she is trying to ‘name and shame’.

oh my god it sounds like an article written by Rita Skeeter.
wow, this article is depressing on so many levels.
It’s one thing to disagree, it’s another to call him ‘a pipe-smoking sissy’ or a ‘flaming Sherlock homo’. Chriiiist.
Well, at least it shows how far journalism has advanced from that kind of bullshit - where was this published, the Sun? The Daily Mail? Haha, god.

They won’t start making gay/lesbian couples because children won’t understand them.
Your favourite ship won’t get together.
They’re just animations, people, they’re not real. :/ I love the show as much as the next person, but, honestly, for a fandom about a childrens show - it’s going too far.
SPOILER ALERT: 10% of the population of 6 year olds… Is LGBT+.
Introducing LGBT+ role models to kids is one very effective way of cutting out the self loathing and confusion that so many of these kids go through at some stage in their lives.
No, it probably won’t happen, but that’s because of institutionalised homophobia and attitudes like YOURS- that kids knowing that gay people exist will ~damage and confuse~ them.
And I don’t even have any MLP ships.
“Lesbians shouldn’t be allowed to use sex toys, they made their choice.”
Somebody has actually said that to me before.
I think that they were a friend of a good friend, which is why I didn’t drive their face into the nearest wall.
